Principals of Techark Internet Services
Monte Roberts, principal of the Techark Group at
47 years old has had over 25 years experience in information technology
working with software solutions in the semiconductor and robotics
industry. His wife and partner, Ros, a qualified accountant, small
business consultant and university lecturer, is currently undertaking
a Masters of E-Commerce and oversees the administration and accounting
side of the business.
Our Roots
Over 25 years of experience in computers, networking,
programming, and roots early in the Internet along with a broad
business background grounded in the belief that customer service
is still the most important aspect of running a company, have
all combined to make Techark Internet Services a reliable and
knowledgeable hosting provider.
How Techark Internet Services came to be:
In 1997 Monte Roberts the principal of Techark
Internet Services developed a web site for a small retail shop
owned and ran by him and his family.The site became quite popular
and soon several neighbors and small businesses in the community
were asking him for advice and help setting up e-commerce sites
of their own. After developing a few sites it became harder and
harder to find good quality hosting solutions for his own site
or those he developed. So, in 1999 he partnered with a larger
hosting company and became a reseller of their services.
The main goal of the company was to build e-commerce
enabled sites for small businesses and web site promotion. Through
a period of time from 99 to 2000 the focus slowly shifted into
more web hosting and less on-site development work and so Techark
Web Hosting was born with full emphasis on web hosting.
Today:
Techark Internet Services is split into 3 business
units; EZ1Host.com offering shared hosting solutions to individuals
and businesses of all sizes. Resellershosting.net offering bulk
reseller plans for those that want to start their own hosting
business. Techark.com offering dedicated servers located in some
of the best data centers in the world, offering 24/7 support and
unparalleled service options for those who have out grown the
shared hosting solution.
Our goal today, as it has been from day one, is treat all our
customers as if they were friends and still neighbors in that
small community we started in. With offices located in Hot Springs
Arkansas (where we started) and on the Gold Coast in Australia
we promise to strive everyday to offer all our customers honest
value for their money. We are privately owned and debt free, still
a family run business and realize that while we or not the cheapest,
nor do we desire to be largest hosting company there is, we are
certainly stable enough to assure our clients we will be here
